How will the FCC itself monitor and facilitate compliance by private-sector actors? What implementation questions remain pending before the Commission?

This panel will focus on enforcement of the new accessibility rules. Panelists will address the Communications Act’s various enforcement mechanisms and how they might be used to police the activities of communications providers and manufacturers. What do covered parties need to know about potential enforcement of the new rules? What strategies might these parties employ to avoid enforcement action, and to respond to such action once it has commenced? How has the Commission’s Enforcement Bureau utilized these mechanisms in the past, and what does this history tell us about likely activity under the new accessibility requirements?
