Current and Upcoming Issues in Mobile Payments and Tech Expo
The FCBA Mobile Payments Committee will be co-sponsoring the Mobile Payments Day with the Electronic Transactions Association and the Merchant Advisory Group on Tuesday, September 30 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. This program, entitled Current and Upcoming Issues in Mobile Payments and Tech Expo, will be held at the City Club of Washington, 555 13th Street, NW.
Attendees will hear from mobile payment companies, retailers, and federal regulators like the FTC and the FCC, discuss their views on policy issues surrounding mobile transactions industry, opportunities and threats, security, consumer experience, EMV migration, tokenization, and breach. In addition to the policy discussion the event features a Tech Expo, where leading payment companies will showcase the latest technology in mobile payments.

This panel will address the current and future landscape of mobile payments in the United States. Key consideration will be available technology, implementation challenges and opportunities, security and consumer behavior and preferences.

This panel will discuss how mobile payments innovation is enhancing security for consumers. Key considerations will be data breach, EMV, tokenization, authentication methods and P2P encryption.
Panel will consist of representatives from the FCC, a data security firm, a mobile technology company, a merchant acquirer, and retailers participating in technology deployment.

Panel will consist of representatives from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a leading merchant in the space, a mobile payments company, and a carrier.
