Registration Instructions

·        Learn everything that you need to know about the mortgage foreclosure procedure from start to finish from legal experts.  Mortgage foreclosure fraud is on the rise.  Hear from experienced white collar crime investigators about what is happening around the state.  The Minnesota Department of Commerce and the FBI investigators will share what to look for, as well as what should alert you that your office may be dealing with someone who is engaged in illegal conduct.

·        Hear about recent legislation and case law that affect your civil process role in the area of foreclosures and redemptions.

·        Learn about legislative changes that need to be made and will be proposed in the next legislative session.  How do these changes affect your civil process duties? Hear about what is being proposed to make you and your county attorney's lives a little easier...and avoid possible liability.

·        Have you seen the problems created by the financial institutions when they sell the property during the redemption period?  Minnesota is in the minority of states that even allow a redemption period after the Sheriff's sale, creating this problem in Minnesota foreclosures.
