WHO SHOULD ATTEND:  Sheriff’s Office Personnel and any other agencies who support the background check and renewals of Minnesota Carry Concealed Permits.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THE TRAINING:  The instruction provided will be primarily covering the ten federal firearm prohibitions, Section 922 (g) or (n) of Title 18, United States Code.

Each attendee will receive customized training materials consisting of a NICS Training Manual and Exercise Booklet.  The training will include a variety of topics useful to those conducting background checks on Minnesota’s Concealed Weapon Permit applicants and renewals.  The training will give the necessary tools and resources to assist in reading criminal history records as well as thorough research and analysis necessary to make an accurate determination on an applicant’s eligibility to possess a concealed weapon permit.
