Instructor Alex Stern is a Corporal and Field Training Officer in the Carver County Jail, serving as the jail's Fire and Safety Officer.  He is also a firefighter for the Excelsior Fire District, where he is currently serving as Battalion Chief.  Alex graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.  In May 2017, he graduated with honors from Waldorf University with a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership.
